In
1980, Total Communications entered the newly opened telecommunications market
selling hospital call systems, paging equipment and an electronic key telephone
system. Over the past 23 years, the company has grown from one small office
in East Hartford, Connecticut, into the 7th largest interconnect in the nation.*
Total now services over 11,000 businesses from Maine to New Jersey and have
over 200 employees and 4 locations. In addition to telephone hardware, Total
has branched in network, data networking and Internet services. Most recently,
the company has become a leader in converged networks and voice-over IP solutions.
