TOTAL COMMUNICATIONS RANKED 7th NATIONWIDE

East Hartford, CT, December 21, 2000 - Total Communications Incorporated is now ranked as the 7th largest interconnect nationwide according to a survey in the December, 2000 issue of Teleconnect. Teleconnect is a telecommunication industry journal published by CMP Media. The journal annually profiles the top interconnects (sellers, installers and maintainers of telephone systems) based on survey responses provided by participants.

Total Communications has moved up from 10th place in 1999 to 7th place, citing projected revenues of $26,900,000 for the year 2000. The company has aggressively pursued and secured a large number of contracts in 2000, including a multi-million dollar voice and data network for the Hartford Board of Education.
