East Hartford, CT, May 17 - At last week's Hartford ITEC show, Total Communications Incorporated introduced a new technology services platform to offer small and mid size businesses network services that are generally only available to large companies. By implementing an efficient Internet connection to a site, Total's Office in a BoxTM solution can remotely deliver and manage sophisticated network services.

Until recently, if a small company wanted the functionality of a large corporation's network, they would have to purchase and install stand-alone WAN routers, firewalls and separate local network servers. This can quickly add up to thousands of dollars per site and require significant staff time to manage.

With the Office in a Box solution, smaller businesses get high-speed Internet access as well as firewall, content filtering, e-mail server support, and network attached storage and printing services for a minimal monthly subscription fee.
