A Day Together at Total Communications

There is something special about having the opportunity to bring an entire team together. Earlier this month, the Total Communications team gathered at our East Hartford office for our 2026 All Hands Meeting. While the morning gave us a chance to talk about the business, share updates and look ahead, it was just as much about something we do not always get to experience: spending time together as one team.
Starting the Day Together
We kicked off the morning with a delicious breakfast and a chance to catch up before the meeting began. For some, it was an opportunity to reconnect with coworkers they had not seen in person for a while. For others, it was actually the first time meeting certain teammates face-to-face.
With members of the Total team working remotely and across different locations, it is rare to have so many of us in the same room at the same time. That made the morning feel a little different from the typical workday. There were conversations, introductions, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, a chance to simply enjoy being together.
Hearing From Across Total
Once the meeting got underway, each of our department directors had the opportunity to provide an update on their teams, accomplishments and priorities. It gave everyone a broader look at what is happening throughout Total Communications and how the work being done across sales, operations, engineering, finance, marketing and our other departments contributes to the bigger picture.
In a company like ours, every department plays a different role, but our success depends on those teams working together. Having everyone hear directly from our leadership team helped reinforce just how connected that work really is. It was also an opportunity to recognize the progress we have made during the first half of 2026 while looking ahead at where we want to go next.
Celebrating a New Chapter in Leadership
One of the highlights of the day was celebrating Sean Johnston and his new role as Vice President of Operations. Sean's new position reflects both his contributions to Total and the importance of strong operational leadership as our company continues to grow and evolve. Having the team together made it an especially fitting opportunity to recognize this next chapter and celebrate the people who continue to help move Total forward.
More Than an All Hands Meeting
The presentations and company updates were important, but some of the best moments happened outside of the agenda. They happened over breakfast, during conversations between presentations, when coworkers who normally communicate through a screen finally met in person, and when people from different departments had the opportunity to connect.
Technology makes it possible for our team to work together from almost anywhere, but there is still tremendous value in getting everyone into the same room every once in a while. For a company built around helping organizations stay connected, it was a good reminder that connection matters just as much within our own walls.
We left the meeting with a better understanding of where Total Communications is today, where we are headed and, most importantly, the team of people helping us get there. Thank you to everyone who joined us, whether in person or remotely, and to everyone who helped make the morning a success. We are excited for what the rest of 2026 has in store.
