It's the season of giving, and Total is proud to once again be spreading joy through our annual Operation Jingle Bells Holiday Toy Drive! This initiative, revived from a cherished Total tradition of years past, has been a meaningful way for our team to give back to the community.
This year's drive saw enthusiastic participation from across the company. Along with a generous contribution from CEO Scott Lennon, the Total Team filled the foyer with bicycles, stuffed animals, sports equipment, and toys of all kinds. generously stepped up as well to ensure the holidays are bright for children in need.
The collected gifts were picked up by East Hartford's Health and Social Services, led by Mayor Connor Martin, who will then sort and distribute to families in the community, ensuring no child is left behind during this special time.
Director of Health & Human Services of East Hartford, Laurence Burnsed, spoke on the impact of the drive “The toys donated by Total Communications will benefit a significant number of children served by the East Hartford Health and Human Services holiday program. In this season of giving, we appreciate their support in fulfilling requests for assistance from families in need. As of December 11, more than 235 children have signed up for our holiday assistance programs. Our Youth and Social Services division continues to receive applications from residents, so we expect even more will be enrolled for toys for kids. Thank you to Total Communications and to the employees for your generous support; we couldn’t do this important work without our community partners.”
Total is committed to giving back and making a difference in the lives of others. This toy drive is just one of the many ways we strive to fulfill that commitment. We look forward to continuing this tradition for many years to come, spreading holiday cheer and ensuring that every child has a happy holiday season.
Director of Human Resources and long standing toy drive leader, Rhonda Tassie’s goal is to put smiles on faces, “Some of these children have never been visited by Santa, so it’s so special knowing we can help change that.”
Happy Holidays from everyone at Total!
